My name is Connie Uchima. I'm most often called Uch or Uchi (OOH-chi). I find that retirement leaves me with too much free time, so I thought I'd use some of it to post thoughts and memories here.

I have a lovely daughter, Charity. She's a wonderful nurse, married to a hunky fire fighter named Mike. My grandsons, Jordan and Christopher are smart, funny, and generally perfect. Up in cold country, is my birth-son, Jon and his wife Kathy. Their children are Maj-Britt, Jacqueline, Amber and Alex. Little Erica is the first great-grandchild.

I'm a northern grandma and a southern Meemaw.

I spend most of my time in my "studio" where I sew and quilt. I also love to read. I enjoy my church fellowship and find that I'm a nicer person when I don't neglect my faith.
